While it can only use Tome of Virtue or Resolve at a given time, cycling between the two makes for a very strong support especially with multiple Firebrands who run the opposite book, and the nature of WvW fights makes the downtime on the books usually unimportant as fights are often decided before you go through your pages. So here's a few more support options if you're willing to WvW.ДЇirebrand - The premier support of WvW, it's versatile bringing a lot of stability, resistance, condi cleanse, water fields, healing, swiftness and basically everything else you'd want out of a support. One of the main hallmarks of a PvE support is bringing more damage, but the crazy buffs of a Chrono and Druid become much more awkward to apply in a WvW setting, and pure defense ability is also more valuable as there's now an enemy that you can use it against. That said there's also WvW / sPvP supports to consider, though I'm mostly just familiar with WvW. People have covered PvE supports, which are basically just Druid / Chrono / Warrior (kinda, it doesn't feel like a support but does bring a lot of stat buffs). Level as a DPS build, then shift into support once you're max level and ready to do endgame group content. Warning: do NOT attempt to level as a support build unless you like slow and boring grinds. Those are not the only support builds, just the ones you'll see most commonly recommended for endgame group content.

Warriors are, of course, expected to do good damage while also maintaining their banners. Warrior (various builds) - Warrior banners provide some unique damage buffs that no one else can quite match. They can provide speed buffs that allow allies to attack faster and reduce cooldowns. They're also expected to provide buffs such as Might that increase the team's DPS.Д¬hronomancer (Mesmer) - illusionist mage who also manipulates time. Also, many of the most supportive builds are only available after you've reached max level and unlocked the appropriate Elite Specialization.Д¬urrently, the three most popular support builds I know of are.Дruid (Ranger) - closest thing to a traditional healer class in the game. Even the most supportive builds are still expected to do at least some DPS, though. Every class has DPS options, a self-heal, supportive buffs, and active defenses to keep themselves alive.ДЄs expansions have been released, more and more options for 'pure' builds have come along. GW2 was originally designed so that every class would be a hybrid.
